Billions for Bikes Beats Band-aid Bailout for Buick

Cleaner air, exercise, affordable transportation and jobs. In an uncertain world, investing billions in bicycle
paths makes more sense than ever.
Thanks for dropping by.
The time has come to create our future.
We need to act now to ensure our children and their children have even a better world than we do.
There are over 6 billion of us. We need to share resources with everyone. We need to leave some for future generations. That is Everyone Forever. This is our duty.
The challenges we face are huge. Climate change is a symptom of a much larger issue. We are using too much of just about everything. As more people in the world work to raise their standard of living, the cost of everything used to sustain modern society will rise.
Fortunately, our ability to work together to met challenges and use them as an opportunity to create even a better world is much
greater than we imagine.
Our cities, technology, art and literature are all testimonies to our achievements.
Discussions of a bleak future are only useful if they encourage people to act. If people are left feeling hopeless, they are likely to be self-fulfilling prophecies.
We already know what we need to know. Thinking that new technology will be the solution can give people an excuse not to act upon solutions that exist now. Technology can help but blindly trusting it is a risk that it is not ours to take.
Problems only exist due to a lack of will to solve them. Once we commit to solutions, seemingly intractable problems are no longer any problem at all.
Choosing to live our lives today in a way that everyone in the world today and everyone in future generations could live their lives is the only option. Anything else creates a world of winners and losers. There is no guarantee that you and me will be the winners in the future. Only by dedicated and selfless leadership can we create a future of hope for everyone.
What truly provides happiness in life has little relationship to how much we consume. Family, friends and fun are all that really matters.
The truth must go on!

Lets face it. Train travel can be a great way of getting around. Being forced to wait at airports before being crammed
into a stuff plane is just plain miserable. Hopefully high-speed rail is finally coming to North America.

How's that for a title. I wrote this a few months ago. On MLK day to be exact. Now that the Beijing Olympics are over
it is time to really start creating a lasting legacy. Here is my take on what could indeed be great outcome. Lets go for the gold!

Well, it is time to buck up to my responsibility.
Its my fault. I admit it. Guilty as charged.
Now that that is our of the way, it is time to do better.

Well, I finally have this site up. I've had the domain for over a year. Guess you could say I got blogged down.
Anyway, welcome everyone.
I promise my next post will come a bit quicker. A new sense of urgency I hope is contagious.
Please check out the blog for more of my ramblings. Not everything makes it to the front page. Probably just as well.
